A few ponders from today's gathering. I am growingly in awe of Jung's ability to gather past, present, and future....as a trained physician he knew about the science of the human body present at the time and it seems he also may have known what was to come - how much we now know about how individual nervous systems are intertwined with others and can affect social dynamics and systemic wellbeing. Jung seemed to have the ability to bring calm with his presence and Satya, I hope I can also offer that this seems to be one of your many gifts as well. I also trust that Jung may have had a sense of what we're learning about how trauma is genetically passed down in generations and how tending to our own small gardens may have a huge impact on others, present and future. Linked to this, I also offer awareness of possible wisdom from indigenous peoples around farming and horticulture....a well tended small area will allow for nutrient recycling and seed spreading, as well as hydration and sustainability not just for that place but for surrounding areas.
I can’t believe I spaced so hard today that I missed the meeting with Elinor!! Ugh this brain sometimes. Will the replay be posted in Substack today by chance?
I became a paid subscriber in order to be at that and I still totally spaced it as well! I agree on the Ugh, and, there is SO much we can take in these days that I’m not surprised my brain let that go…..yay to replays and thx for asking Jenna❣️
I think it’s telling of how overloaded we are with info. and I am not even on social media at this time. wow! Well I am sure the replay will be awesome. The book is so helpful and guiding!
Love this, Satya, for a bunch of reasons, including your lyrical invocation of the pleasures of gardening in middle age (amen!) to your discussion of Jung's deployment of the Philemon/Baucis archetypes. I've been immersed in Ovid's own rendering of that myth, and it was delightful to learn more about Jung's version.
The more I hear/read/discover, the deeper my respect for the deep/intense/eternal journey Jung took and shared with those who could hear. Still shares. Thank you, Satya, for your gift of sharing with us.
Your Red Book sharings are so timely and poignant, Satya. When I received my copy of this magnificent, weighty book shortly after it was published, I decided to do some bibliomancy to get a 'personal' message from Jung. When I opened the page and placed my finger intuitively on a passage, I was shocked to read, "Make your own Red Book!" And now you remind us, "tend your own garden..." which is so equally wise. I look forward to tomorrow's webinar with Elinor, a woman who has also courageously faced into the heart of darkness and unearthed Wisdom. Thank you!
We are in synch - I ask everyone I work with to create a personal Red Book after reading this and to honor our journey -- "I should advise you to put it all down as beautifully as you can - in some beautifully bound book. It will seem as if you were making the visions banal - but then you need to do that - then you are freed from the power of them. If you do that with these eyes for instance they will cease to draw you. You should never try to make the visions come again. Think of it in our imagination and try to paint it. Then when these things are in some previous book you can go to the book and turn over the pages and for it will be your church - your cathedral - the silent places of your spirit where you will find renewal. If anyone tells you that it is morbid or neurotic and you listen to them - then you will lose your soul - for in that book is your soul."
wow, what medicine! i want to sit with this prophecy and feel into these three medicines, that open the heart to rediscover the boundlessness of love, emptiness and liberation.
Such a powerful message, thank you. This gives me a third, more grounded (ahem) option, beyond closing my eyes to world events (or) putting the cognitive weight of “fixing” those world events on my shoulders. 🌱

Thank you for reading, Andrew!
Gratitude for the blessing.

I totally agree! Thank you for sharing your approach; it honours the wisdom and beauty in those you work with in such a creatively empowering way.

I will and do accept it - with gratitude 🙏❤️
Tears in my eyes at this timely wisdom. Jung is so close to my heart and I have a longing to know and learn more. Thank you for the work you do. 💖
Your writing is moisture in these parched times. Thank you.
