I wrote last week about how we Separate from our parents as we enter adulthood, but I don’t think I emphasized enough just how much this work continues for a lifetime. People of all ages continue to navigate these dynamics as they and their parents enter new stages of life, or as they review the anniversaries of deaths and important events. And parents do the same with their children! Whether the work is happening in therapy, in one’s dream life, or in direct communication, these formative relationships tend to remain ever-present and important—for better or worse.
This Sunday at 10am PST | 1pm EST | 6pm GMT, I’ll be online with paid subscribers to explore these formative relationships in all their shapes and sizes. The format for these monthly gatherings is light, but will involve a bit of breathing and meditation to settle us in together, some writing and reflection, and some sharing of stories and experiences (of course, no one will be expected to share).
The Zoom link/recording is below for paid subscribers. If you upgrade your subscription to paid before Sunday, the link will be available to you, and you’ll also receive it directly in your confirmation email. I’d love to see you there.
